GE Micro Aire
General Electric reached out to us to partner in a 20,000 square foot renovation to the Jefferson Building on the 29 North Campus. While General Electric has been a loyal repeat customer of ours, this was our first time working with CBRE’s Richmond office and Micro Aire on a large project. The project consisted of a complete gut of all systems and interior partitions on 2 stories. The demolition process was accelerated by using our own labor forces and dumpsters. As part of the renovation to a clean white shell, GE furnished state of the art LED lighting and rooftop units.
Originally, Micro Aire was going to build a new building to meet their increasing demand for office and lab space. When the 20,000 sq ft Jefferson Building became available on General Electric’s 29 North campus they opted for a cost effective flexible growth plan. Micro Aire worked with Baskervill to take a clean white box and convert it into a clean modern office space. Martin Horn coordinated with Baskervill, Creative Furniture Solutions and several AV companies to fast track renovation. The space features 2 labs, a conference room with teleconferencing, and movable wall partitions, and office with state of the art LED lighting and HVAC.
