Bold Rock Cidery
Bold Rock Cidery in Nellysford, Virginia stretches over 50 acres along the Rockfish River, in some of the most beautiful countryside in the state. The cidery uses apples planted on their own farm, as well as nearby local apple orchards, and apples from local growers. They serve hard cider of various fruits and light picnic-style dining.
In early 2016, Martin Horn was hired to renovate the bathrooms, while also modernizing their design. Previously, each bathroom could only have one occupant. And when the popular cidery’s tasting room would fill with customers, the lack of restroom capacity became a real issue. The cidery’s beautiful interior design and scenic views draw in tourists from all over the world. The team at Martin Horn wanted to make sure their bathroom design was cohesive to their rustic and chic look, and was able to do so affordably through the design-build process.
