The Riverfront (Richmond) Amphitheater is steadily coming to life, taking on its iconic form as we reach the halfway point. The stage-house structure stands fully erected, with the roof and stage wings are being meticulously framed and weather-conditioned. The seating bowl is emerging, as are the intricate nooks and crannies of the VIP Booths. Both the river-view and city-view terraces are beginning to take shape, with over 5 miles of carefully coordinated electrical conduit being expertly placed beneath. This elegantly buried infrastructure will soon power an incredible array of high-quality lighting and Audio/Visual Equipment, including a state-of-the-art Audio Delay Tower and advanced Audio Controls system—features both fans and roadies are sure to appreciate.

As we eagerly approach the installation of the beautiful Bermuda grass seating lawn, work progresses on the restroom building with MEP installations underway. Over 1,300 cubic yards of concrete have been poured, setting the stage—quite literally—for your dancing feet. Looking ahead, we can't wait to share the finer details of the interiors of the Back of House spaces as we begin to install them this fall and winter.

Our fantastic roofing Trade Partner, W.H. Stovall, and Metal Framing Trade Partner, F. Richard Wilton, continue to weather-proof the stage-house roofing system prior to installing the final layer of metal panel roofing that will shimmer in the sunlight.

This photo shows off our logistical prowess - the L-shaped restroom building is being built in two phases, the Women's restroom (ladies first!) then the Men's restroom later, to allow for deliveries before the men's restroom closes off the Eastern portion of the job site to anything wider than 12 feet.

The river-view terrace (the river is to the right of this photo, which you'll have to attend a show to see 😉 no freebies here!) is being backfilled as we continue to pour concrete like crazy!

Above is the freshly poured concessions deck that will house a modular concessions building system that will serve something for everybody.

The photo doesn't do justice to how massive the bearing plate (8 feet in length) & concrete foundation for the audio delay towers are. These towers, at over 30 feet tall, will become an unignorable (visually and sonically speaking) part of the riverside skyline.

We couldn't get all of this electrical work done without our Electrical Trade Partner, Excel Electric. We can see their hard work at play as they rough-in conduit below the audio/visual control booth any roadie will be giddy to conduct a show from.
