Cost:
$1.7 million
Completion: January 2007
Developer Chuck Lewis has hired by Martin Horn for half-a-dozen commercial projects. When we began work on
Woolen Mills Pointe, he wagered $500 that we couldn't complete it in 8 months. The steep site required a significant work,
removing dirt and constructing a large concrete block retaining wall, a 2-tiered parking structure, and significant site utilities.
The exterior of the two-story shell space features split face block and metal wall panels and the interior was finished in
white-box condition, including drywall partitions, lighting, acoustic ceiling, and restrooms. Lewis lost the bet, but we
told him to save the $500 for the next project.
