That was the case when UVa hired Martin Horn to transform an old Law School auditorium into two lecture halls, five offices, and a seminar room-in six months. Despite the aggressive schedule, the tiered lecture halls called for sophisticated finishes, including natural cherry paneling, special sound proofing, and a radiused coffered ceiling echoing the shape of the desks. The complex project was completed on schedule, giving the Law School some desperately needed new spaces that are also stunning and exceptionally functional.
